Most insurers require a GP or consultant referral for physiotherapy treatments and sports massage.

It is important to check your policy details re. whether you need to be referred before booking in.

We are able to bill BUPA and AXA directly.

Patients with other health insurance policies are asked to pay us directly and reclaim their fees directly from their insurer.

Some insurers (eg Vitality Health) limit the amount that can be claimed for each session.

Each insurance policy is different and we advise you to ensure well-in-advance that your treatment is covered.

If you are unsure, please email info@physio7.com before booking a session, as all unpaid fees will be due directly to Physio7.

Before you come in for your initial appointment you must present:

• your up to date membership number and injury pre-authorisation number from your insurance company.

• your policy limitations (i.e. your excess amount and the amount of money or the number of sessions that has been approved).

If you fail to attend a session, or reschedule or cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, you will be charged the full cost of the session. We require a payment card to hold all appointments, and we reserve the right to charge the card in those cases.

Most insurance companies will not pay for missed appointments or appointments rescheduled without sufficient notice therefore you will be obliged to pay the full amount for that appointment.

This may happen in the following situation:

• you have an excess. Your insurance company may ask you to pay this excess to Physio7 directly.

• you may have reached your maximum benefit. If your policy limit is £500 and the value of your treatment sessions goes over this, you will have to pay the outstanding amount.

• your insurance company may decide to limit the number of treatment sessions you are allowed. If so you will need to pay for all treatment sessions outstanding.

• if you do not present us with the relevant authorisation details, or if your employer has to authorise treatment then you may not have this benefit available until it is authorised. If so you will need to pay for all treatment until this is resolved.

We require a payment card (Visa, Mastercard or AMEX) to hold all appointments.

Card payments are PSD2 SCA compliant and processed through Acuity Scheduling (powered by Stripe).
