Hip & Groin Pain

Persistent Hip or Groin Pain Holding You Back?

If you’re living with nagging hip or groin pain, you know how much it can affect your mobility, confidence, and independence — whether you’re walking, training, working, or simply trying to sleep comfortably.

At Physio7, we help people move beyond generic advice and short-term relief to find lasting solutions — even when they’ve been told “nothing can be done.”

Does This Sound Familiar?

  • You’ve been told to rest or take painkillers — but it hasn’t helped

  • You’ve tried online exercises or advice from friends with mixed results

  • You feel like your joints are ageing faster than you are

  • You want to avoid surgery, but aren’t sure what else to try

If any of that sounds familiar, we can help.

Why Hip & Groin Pain Can Be So Frustrating

The hip is a deep, complex joint — you might feel discomfort in the groin, thigh, buttock or outside of the hip, and the root cause isn’t always obvious.

Unfortunately, many people are offered only basic exercises or vague advice. These can sometimes ease symptoms, but often fail to address the underlying mechanical issues — like joint restriction, poor load transfer, or muscle imbalances.

This is why some people end up living with ongoing pain or being pushed toward surgery too soon.

A Smarter, More Personal Approach

At Physio7, we specialise in conservative treatment for hip and groin pain — especially when standard approaches have failed.

Our goal is to help you move better, feel stronger, and avoid invasive interventions. Surgery should be a last resort — not the first option.

We offer a structured approach based on experience, clinical reasoning, and a deep understanding of complex pain patterns.

How We Get Results

Our in-depth assessment helps uncover:

  • What hurts — the specific joints, muscles, or structures involved

  • Why it hurts — including movement faults, muscular imbalance, joint restriction, or referred pain from elsewhere

Treatment then follows our proven 3-Step System:

Relieve
Calm the pain with hands-on treatment, positions of ease, electrical therapies, and strategies to reduce muscle spasm and inflammation.

Restore
Free up stiff joints and tight muscles — and restore alignment and movement control across the hip, pelvis, and spine.

Rebuild
Rebuild strength, power, endurance… and your confidence to move freely again — without fear or hesitation.

Who We Help

We often work with:

  • Adults with persistent groin or buttock pain

  • Athletes with hip-related tightness, stiffness or pain during training

  • People in midlife or older who want to avoid unnecessary surgery

  • Anyone who’s tried physio before — but didn’t get the results they needed

“Christine, a former teacher in her 70s, came to us after two years of worsening groin pain. She’d been told surgery was inevitable. Within weeks, her mobility had improved, her pain was under control — and she’d returned to walking in the coutryside.”

Appointment Options

40-minute assessment — For recent issues or a straightforward flare-up
55-minute assessment — Ideal for persistent, complex problems — especially if previous treatment hasn’t helped

“If you’re ready for expert input, a clear plan, and real progress — we’re here to help.”

Specialist Insight

Hip pain isn’t always felt at the side of the leg — in fact, the ball-and-socket joint sits deep in the groin area, which is where pain often appears.

Hip-related pain may also be felt in the thigh, buttock, or lateral hip. However, sometimes the real cause isn’t the hip at all — but referred pain from the lower back, pelvis, or sacroiliac joint.

That’s why a comprehensive assessment is essential — to understand exactly what’s going on, and tailor treatment accordingly.
